Facilities Coordinator

The Facilities Coordinator is the key leader and connector for successfully sustaining two nonprofit facilities in our community. You will be splitting time between both The Journey Museum and Learning Center and the Dahl Arts Center.

The ideal candidate will possess both effective verbal and written communication skills. A proven track record of facility management is requested, or a minimum of five years of experience in the key areas described. Other skills deemed essential are math, reading and writing. The ability to manage processes and pay attention to details such as file management is a must for each nonprofit's operations.

The Facilities Coordinator may possess additional skills that may assist in the overall productivity of the position. Please note any special skills or abilities that you may bring to the position that are not required but could be seen as beneficial for a candidate to possess. They are: electrical, plumbing, woodworking, and/or carpentry skills and production.

This is a salaried and exempt position with a full-time benefits package that includes health insurance, paid vacation time, and an opportunity to invest in an IRA with a matching contribution. The annual salary will be determined based on the individual's level of experience.

The Journey Museum is currently in Winter Hours:

Winter Hours

(October 1st – April 30th)
10 AM – 5 PM Monday through Saturday
1 PM – 5 PM Sundays

Summer Hours

(May 1st – September 30th)
9 AM – 6 PM Monday through Saturday
11 AM – 5 PM Sundays


All individual admissions are good for two days with receipt.

Museum General Admission:

Adults (ages 18+) $10
Seniors (ages 62+) $8
Students (ages 6 – 17) $7
Children 5 & under FREE with family

Groups (10+ people):

$7 per person

Tour guides available. Please call (605) 394-6923 one week prior to visit to schedule.

Education Groups (12+ students):

$3 per student (all students 18 and under)
$5 College Students

Chaperones are requested. Special pricing will be extended to adult chaperones.
