“We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are willing to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.”

- President John F. Kennedy, September 12, 1962 Rice University, Houston, TX

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy laid out the reasons why strong science research programs are necessary and also why strong science educational achievement is vital in our schools. We choose to hold Space Camps at The Journey Museum & Learning Center because we want to inspire and lift up students that could be the next generation of space explorers and astrophysicists. We want to change “What if?” to “Can do!” through our unique summer camp.

Learn about teamwork, decision-making and leadership through space camp. We utilize NASA created content to create an authentic experience for summer camp goers. Launch rockets, design and create rovers to explore the surface of planets, and take your fellow peers through the wonders of the solar system and far off galaxies. This unique space camp will not only teach you how to explore the outer galaxies that we call home, but the history of how the galaxies and stars are formed to give you a better understanding of the galaxy that we live in. This is a summer camp for those space cadets that want to make being a space cadet a career one day and want to explore the stars beyond our borders. They sky’s really the limit here. Join us for a summer camp that is really out of this world and will spur you on to new heights.
