June, 26-28, 2013
 

Wed (1-5 pm) Thurs (8:30-4 pm and 8:30-10 pm) Fri (8:30 am - noon)

 

Classes will be held at The Journey Museum, 222 New York St., Rapid City SD


  • Presentations on space science topics useful for teacher background knowledge, curriculum planning, teacher and student resources
  • Telescope observation field trip
  • Activities and lesson plan development
  • Gain confidence in teaching space science
  • No registration cost
  • Optional 1 BHSU graduate or undergraduate credit $40 your cost (possible increase per Board of Regents)
  • Participants will receive a $400 stipend ($300 after completing the workshop and $100 after completing a follow up survey at the end of the school year
  • Limited class size
  • One hour lunch on your own, snacks provided
  • Resources to take back to the classroom
