Black Hills Astronomical Society - The Eclipse Cycle
May 21, 2018 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Travis Kowalski, Professor of Mathematics at SDSMT, will present on eclipses. Over the past year we've been lucky enough to see two remarkable events - the Great American Total Solar Eclipse of August 2017 followed by the Blood Supermoon Total Lunar Eclipse of January 2018. This talk will examine the ingredients needed to create eclipses, so that we can predict if and when we'll ever get to see such a pair of events again.
No admission fee. This is a regular meeting of the Black Hills Astronomical Society. All programs are free and open to the public. Following the program a business meeting is held, at which interested members of the public are welcome.
