Book Signing: Charlie Klinker

March 20, 2021  11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Randy Christensen is the author of the children’s Old West illustrated fantasy, “Charlie Klinker the Lil’ Stinker: a Tale of a Pioneer Mouse.”

Follow Charlie down the dusty trail to the beautiful Black Hills where he makes his home in the mining camp called Deadwood and finds himself in a thrilling battle with the meanest, nastiest cat in all of the West - Fluffy Johnson!

Catch Randy at the museum on Saturday, March 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Christensen holds degrees from the University of South Dakota in History and Sociology, and South Dakota State University in Counseling, Guidance and Personnel Services. Throughout his career, he’s counseled children and families in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, also acting as program coordinator for Rapid City Area Schools.

He’s directed children’s theater and coached several championship scholastic chess teams. As an educator, he’s taught hundreds of classes at universities around the state.

As a performer, you may know him as characters like Deputy Marshal D. Boone May on the streets of Deadwood. For the past several years, Christensen has been at Deadwood’s legendary Old Style Saloon #10 working as their resident historian and author, plus acting in their shows as Colorado Charlie.
