Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Journey Into Space (planetarium program) at 12:15 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Enter a world of wonder! Our Journey educators create wonderfully playful and interactive learning experiences for toddlers and students to enjoy with the whole family. STEAM Saturdays are included with admission and are free for members. 

January 9
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Snowy Owls: Toddlers will make a paper collage and learn about snowy owls, an endangered species.

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Protecting Animals: What does being endangered mean and how can you help?

January 16
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Dream Wreath: Toddlers will make a wreath themed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Change the World: This activity asks kids how they're going to change the world for the better.

Snowstorm in a Jar: Grow a winter wonderland in a jar!

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Winter Dens: Use your engineering skills to build a winter den for animals!

Getting Frosty: Toddlers make their own frost!

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Winter Weather: Learn ancient techniques to stay warm from different cultures. 

February 6

Drawing Shadows: It's another Groundhog Day for toddlers!

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Groundhog Football: We're mixing Groundhog Day with the Super Bowl. You'll enjoy this twist on a classic game of paper football.

February 13
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Spinning Hearts: A Valentine's Day-themed toy spinner with an optical illusion!

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Heart Lava Lamp: This Valentine's Day activity helps spread the love. Take home a homemade lava lamp!

February 20
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Mask Up: Make President's Day-themed masks.

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Green Penny: Turn a penny green with this fun experiment.

February 27
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Painting with Sponges: It's Black History Month! Learn about famous Black artists and create a masterpiece of your own.

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Famous Artists: It's Black History Month! Learn about famous Black artists and expressionism. Then paint your masterpiece on canvas.

March 6
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Color Lab: This experiment teaches how colors mix and react through capillary action and chromatography. Simply put - we're coloring coffee filters and dipping them in water!

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Woven Bowl: This activity gets you in the mood for spring crafts.

March 13
Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Fizzing Shamrocks: This experiment explores the magic behind St. Patrick's Day!

Discovery Expedition at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Leprechaun Rocks: Don't miss this magical activity! Break into magic rocks to find gold.

The Journey Museum is currently in Winter Hours:

Winter Hours

(October 1st – April 30th)
10 AM – 5 PM Monday through Saturday
1 PM – 5 PM Sundays

Summer Hours

(May 1st – September 30th)
9 AM – 6 PM Monday through Saturday
11 AM – 5 PM Sundays

Admission

All individual admissions are good for two days with receipt.

Museum General Admission:

Adults (ages 18+) $10
Seniors (ages 62+) $8
Students (ages 6 – 17) $7
Children 5 & under FREE with family

Groups (10+ people):

$7 per person

Tour guides available. Please call (605) 394-6923 one week prior to visit to schedule.

Education Groups (12+ students):

$3 per student (all students 18 and under)
$5 College Students

Chaperones are requested. Special pricing will be extended to adult chaperones.
