This week, Dr. Elaine Doll-Dunn presents, "Life is a Marathon, So Double Tie Your Shoes!"
This Women in History Month presentation will be Cliffs Notes on Doll-Dunn’s 81-year journey, which she describes as, “Here and there and everywhere; lessons, legacies, and lore.”
Doll-Dunn grew up on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation near Wakpala, South Dakota. She was a ranch girl who learned early that she could do anything - from herding sheep and rounding up cattle to putting dinner on the table every night. She had a passion for life that led to a career in education and a mission of female empowerment.
Doll-Dunn’s life has been an adventure. A graduate of Black Hills Teacher’s College, she taught for 38 years - every age group, every subject. And her passion for fitness has taken her to places like Panama, Kilimanjaro

Doll-Dunn boasts 7 children, 3 advanced degrees, 125 marathons, 51,500 career-running miles and the authorship of 5 books.
