Presented by author Kathleen Christopherson Fox. The Rockerville Flume carried water 20 miles, from Spring Creek west of the present day Sheridan Lake, east to the placer diggings near Rockerville. The flume operated until 1885, and enabled miners to take over $20 million in gold. A popular Black Hills hiking trail follows the actual flume bed for much of its length.
Feed your mind and your belly! Every Turtle Soup features a presentation on historic figures who influenced Black Hills history and includes soup from Angel’s Catering. Turtle Soups are included in a regular admission to the museum or are 1/2 off for members.
