Toddler Tuesdays
The beauty of The Journey Museum and Learning Center is that we encourage everyone to touch, feel and discover. At Toddler Tuesday, the toddlers are in charge! Using their main senses, they bring natural and local history to life!
Recommended for ages 2-5; all children must be accompanied by an adult. Take a look at our Calendar of Events for more activities for toddlers and ways that they can enjoy the learning center and make history come to life.

Through Toddler Tuesday, toddlers are able to experience natural history in a way that makes it real for them. Reading a history book to them will not teach them, however, letting them feel Native American clothing, color in a picture about the early pioneers, or dance along to a song about dinosaurs roaming the earth, they will begin to learn more about natural history. The Journey Museum & Learning Center is all about educational activities for each age group, including activities for toddlers to aid in the learning process.
It’s history and science for our youngest visitors! Come learn and play with our specialized Journey educators as they host a class designed especially with toddlers in mind. Join us for wonderfully engaging activities for toddlers that get your preschooler grooving in the museum.
The Journey Museum and Learning Center regularly adds new events, exhibits, and features to the expansive museum, covering American history, Black Hills history, and Native American culture.
