Many of Earth’s deepest, darkest secrets relate to paleontology and the history of dinosaurs in various regions. The Black Hills are no stranger to dinosaurs roaming our lands, as weird as it may seem now. Dinosaurs that used to roam our lands have been studied and recorded in history, and that history is available for review at The Journey Museum and Learning Center by visitors.

The history of dinosaurs is not new to the Black Hills, though it is a unique one. Through paleontology, scientists have been able to journey through their lives and discover many things about them and how they lived in the Black Hills as the hills were being formed. Their history is extensive, unique, and intriguing. Kids and adults alike will enjoy learning about the history of dinosaurs in the Black Hills.

Take a step back in time on your journey while learning about the history of dinosaurs and how paleontology has shaped our community and region.

The Journey Museum and Learning Center regularly adds new events, exhibits, and features to the expansive museum, covering American history, Black Hills history, and Native American culture.
