The Stanford Adelstein Gallery
The Stanford Adelstein Gallery offers a dynamic and eclectic schedule of art, historical and scientific exhibitions that provides a stimulating atmosphere for special events. This event rental also has the capability to hold multimedia presentations with a drop down projector.
Wells Fargo Theater
Ideal for multimedia presentations, this area has 143 cushioned seats that face a 22’ x 28’ screen with a stereo quality sound system.
The Joe Rovere | Minnilusa Pioneer Room
Located on the second floor with a wall of windows to provide an abundance of natural light and large barn doors, the library is an ideal space for meetings, small receptions, presentations, and other special events. A television is set into the wall for multimedia presentations.
The Board Room
With large windows overlooking the museum collections, the board room includes a large conference table. This event rental is ideal for meetings and presentations.
Gardens
Host the wedding of your dreams or an exciting outdoor event in our Native Gardens. With over five acres of charming western South Dakota native plants, set the scene for a memorable occasion.
Rates

Beverages
Coffee, bottle water and soft drinks are available for purchase. Please see our alcohol policy below regarding our bar service. The Journey Museum and Learning Center can provide selected table linens and centerpieces for an additional fee for your event rental.
Alcohol Policy
The Journey Museum and Learning Center holds a beer and wine permit. All laws of the City of Rapid City and the State of South Dakota apply to the serving and consuming of alcohol. No outside beverages may be brought into The Journey Museum and Learning Center; products must be purchased through the museum.
Political Fundraisers/Events
The renting organization must include a disclaimer on all print and additional marketing materials stating “The Journey Museum and Learning Center is a non-profit corporation that does not endorse any particular candidate or political issue.”
The Journey Museum and Learning Center regularly adds new events, exhibits, and features to the expansive museum, covering American history, Black Hills history, and Native American culture.
