STEAM Saturday - Filtering The Flow

  • Journey Museum & Learning Center 222 New York Street Rapid City, SD, 57701 United States (map)

Get ready to become a water engineer!

Even when water looks clear, it might still have tiny pieces of dirt, sand, or chemicals that we can’t see. Nature already has filters, like soil, sand, and gravel, that help clean water before it reaches rivers, lakes, and our homes.

This Saturday, come explore a mini-lab, where you’ll design your own water filter and see how well it can clean dirty water.

Morning Session: 10:30am - 11:00am

Afternoon Session: 2:00pm - 2:30pm

STEAM is a great opportunity for families to learn together. No need to pre-register, just show up and bring your curiosity.

STEAM Saturdays are free with your daily admission or annual membership to the Journey Museum. Not a member? Become one today! Click the button below to get your membership now!
