The Black Hills Film Festival returns to Rapid City for its 17th year, bringing filmmakers, storytellers, and audiences together for three days of independent cinema at The Journey Museum.
The 2026 festival features a curated selection of regional, national, and international films, including feature-length films, documentaries, shorts, student work, South Dakota-made films, and Native American storytelling. Throughout the weekend, audiences can also participate in filmmaker discussions, panel presentations, networking opportunities, and special events.
